About Me
Hi! My name is Zach Newkirk, and I am a first-year student at the University of Kansas. I am majoring in journalism with a double minor in sports management and music. I am studying sports media and multi-media journalism.
I am honored to be a recipient of the J-School’s 2023-2024 Robert N. Wooldridge Memorial Scholarship. As I take classes at KU, my communication, writing, and producing skills will continue to grow, and I look forward to showcasing some of my work on my portfolio.
Sports is one of my many passions, and in the future, I would like to go into sports broadcasting and/or writing. My goal is to be a play-by-play announcer.
In my free time, I like to listen to music, play the drums, hangout with friends, and watch sports.
